The ASX-listed defence company has received an order for its body armour and ballistic helmets.

XTEK Limited has announced it has secured a $9.5 million deal to supply its HighCom body armour products to an undisclosed customer over the coming weeks.

The rapid supply order includes the provision of both body armour and ballistic helmets.

The products, billed as “ultra-lightweight and “high-performance”, are manufactured at the company’s advanced manufacturing site in Columbus, Ohio and supported by the patented XTclave capability in Adelaide, South Australia.

This latest deal takes the total value of ballistic armour sales to approximately $17.6 million since 1 March 2022 and total group orders to $22.7 million.

“We supply these world-class, advanced personal protection ballistic products and solutions to militaries, law enforcement agencies, and first responder customers all around the world,” Scott Basham, XTEK Group CEO, said.

“This new $9.5 million order to quickly supply a regional customer with our high-performance body armour products, is a further illustration of the group’s ability to support our customers’ priority operational demands with little to no notice.

“XTEK’s HighCom production teams have been working around the clock now for months to manufacture our highly sought-after specialist ballistic products, and we continue to be very deeply engaged with many international customers to help them solve their urgent ballistic armour supply requirements.”

In 2019, XTEK acquired HighCom in a bit to enhance its focus on proprietary products, accelerating XTclave commercialisation through ballistic protection products.

HighCom also provides XTEK with access to an expanded distribution network in the United States.
